Switched reluctance motor has many advantages, such as strong structure, high efficiency, low cost, high fault tolerance, good reliability and so on. So it is widely used in industry field. With the continuous development of switched reluctance motor, many problems need to be studied further, for example, the motor's loss, the internal temperature rise and the impact of motor structural parameters on the loss, etc.. The research on these problems is of great significance to improve the performance and optimize the design of switched reluctance motor.This paper mainly studies the problem of the switched reluctance motor's loss and the temperature rise caused by it. Firstly, according to the structure and working principle of the switched reluctance motor, using ANSOFT finite element analysis software establishes the simulation model, and using finite element method analyzes the switched reluctance motor magnetic field distribution under various conditions, obtaining the magnetic density waveform and the variation law of the typical points changed with rotor position. Secondly, based on the analysis of magnetic field, using the ellipse method calculates the core loss and analyze its distribution. Finally, taking the calculation results of core loss and copper loss as the heat source, the temperature field model of switched reluctance motor is established in Workbench14.5 ANSYS software. The transient temperature field of switched reluctance motor is analyzed by the method of field analysis. To lay the foundation for the optimal design of the motor.Aiming at the problem of the loss and the temperature rise, this paper analyzes the structural parameters' influence on the loss of switched reluctance motor. By using genetic algorithm to optimize the parameters of switched reluctance motor, a set of optimal parameters is obtained. By comparing the switched reluctance motor prototype parameters and the optimized parameters, the final results show that the optimization is reasonable.
