Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of electrified railway in China, as the main driving force,the electric locomotive is on the state of high-speed operation at any time. It is influenced by the operation of the driver, line conditions and climate and other factors, traction current fluctuations, along with the mixed running of China’s various types of locomotive, which makes the traction power supply system harmonic distortion very serious. The harmonics generated by the traction load of electric locomotive are flowing into the power system through the traction transformer, and it will have a bad effect on the power system and other users. Currently there are many studies on AC-DC electric locomotive and orthogonal harmonic characteristics and transmission characteristics of electric locomotive, but as the application of the recent new EMU, the harmonic characteristics of the CRH6 has not been studied in-depth currently. According to the main circuit structure and working principle of the converter of CRH6 EMU, this paper deduces the calculation formula of the harmonic currents in the side of the locomotive network, and analyzes the harmonic characteristics of the converter. Meanwhile, using the Simulink platform of MATLAB software to build the speed of 160km/h CRH6 intercity EMU traction converter, and using SIMPOWERSYSTEM toolbox POWERGUI to FFT analyze primary side current of traction transformer, therefore, the characteristic harmonic distribution is obtained. Finally, the simulation results are compared with the measured data of the CRH6 EMU, and the effectiveness of the simulation results is verified by the simulation results of the CRH6 EMU. Through the analysis of the harmonic wave in different conditions of the EMU, the harmonic characteristics of CRH6 are described. The results of this paper can be used as a theoretical reference for the CRH6 in the process of promoting the application.
