Valve is the control unit of the fluid transportation system,which is indispensable in the daily life and the national production.There are a lot of valve classification method,the ball valve in just 60 years time,has developed into a major category of valve.With the radical innovationof material,design manufacturing process and other aspects in more than ten years,ceramic ball valve with its high temperature resistance,wear resistance,corrosion resistance and other excellent performance has been widely used.However,under severe operating conditions for a long time,the valve ballis likely to be damaged under the process of repeated switching process and the constant erosion,and causing cracking,leading to leakage of the ball,and even develop to an accident that endanger people's lives and property.Therefore,it is necessary to study the strength and cracking of ceramic ball valve.Firstly,the finite element method is used to establish the model of ceramic ball valve,the sealing pressure of the ceramic ball valve is calculated,and the "dichotomy" in numerical analysis is combined to calculate the preload which meet the requirements of the seal and find a way to calculate the preload whichcan effectively improve the sealing performance and extend the service life of the ball valve.Then,ceramic ball valveis calculated based on the finite element method under different working pressure.Analysis the maximum von Mises stress of the valve ball in the closed and open states,and evaluate the safety of the strength of ceramicball valve.Finally,the finite element method is used to calculate the ceramic ball valve with internal cracks.The variation law of stress intensity factor of the crack front under the change of crack length and crack length can be analyzed.The results show that the crack depth is an important factor to determine the stress intensity factor of the crack front.The calculation of preload which is meet ceramic valve sealing pressure can provide valuable referencein the design of the ball valve.Thereby effectively improving the valve sealing performance and prolonging valve life.The finite element method is used to evaluate the strength of ceramic ball valve and the growth of internal crack.
