Research On Plant Landscape Design Of The Outdoor Exhibition Garden

Garden exhibition (Garden show) is an exhibition event which based on the theme of gardening and horticulture with Festival. With the developing of our society, the problem of ecological environment deterioration is growing. The longing for green and healthy environment of people is increasingly strong. As an indicator of landscape architecture, Garden exhibition has important significance of it’s development. Outdoor garden is an important part of the Garden Exhibition, generally have the following kinds:Regional exhibition garden, Enterprise exhibition garden, Specialized Garden, and Master Landscape Architect Garden. Regional exhibition garden refers to a outdoor landscape design has a theme about specific areas (provincial or municipal) culture, organized and built by the local government. Regional exhibition garden holds the very great proportion in our country’s garden show and also the focus of this paper.In recent years, garden exhibition held more and more frequent in China.Domestic related researching with a major focus on the macro level of the exhibition garden landscape design, or introduce a project. Summative theory of micro level was relatively a small number. There are further exploration potential in theme, methods and planting design, especially there’s no system theory of outdoor exhibition garden’s planting design.Based on the above, the article begins from the perspective of planting design and outdoor exhibition garden design. First, collecting, sorting and analyzing the literatures at home and abroad; Second, field survey, sums up the advantages and disadvantages that exist in the practice; The last, combined with the feature of outdoor exhibition garden, proposed design principles and objectives, put forward outdoor exhibition garden planting design’s theoretical points. Using The 8th China Flower Expo 2013 as a specific case to prove the above point of view, make the paper more persuasive. The main research achievements as follow:(1) Based on the theory of plant landscape design and outdoor exhibition garden design, comprehensive field investigation and data analysis. Presented the principles of the outdoor exhibition garden plant landscape design, summarized of key points of the design. Outdoor exhibition garden plant landscape design should be based on the theme, combined with the timeliness and sustainable development. Adjust measures to local conditions, to build the landscape with regional characteristics, select more indigenous plants if climatic condition allowed. Combined with the show and experience. Pay more attention to the plant landscape design, optimalize the property of hard landscape and soft landscape. Plant landscape should be diversification, and in conjunction with other landscape elements.(2) Theory to guide practice to design the Hunan Exhibition Garden in person, so that the theory embedded in practice. Based on the environment, design a outdoor exhibition garden to show the culture and plant landscape of Hunan.Theory combined with practice, to investigate the planting design method of outdoor exhibition garden in order to provide information and intellectual in the future research support.
