The Study On The Design Of Zoo Visiting And Displaying

It has been the basic ideas of the zoo that, the human, the animal and the natural coexistharmoniously. The modern zoo places the animals the most important position. It emphasizesecological of the animals' living conditions more, respects the animals' life habit and thepsychological demand, makes every effort to demonstrate animals' original appearance innature, transmits the animals' natural information to the people.The zoo demonstration is one of an important exposition of landscape demonstrations. Inthe zoo, animals are the special exhibits which have lives. The zoo is the place in whichdemonstrates the animal and animal's habitat place. In visiting the zoo, there also have thesimilarities and differences compare with other exposition. The way of visiting and displayingto the zoo most lied on the requirement of the visitors and the animals which are the specialexhibits. So the article has discussed the matters which need to pay attention to the designprocess from the ways.In the design of the visiting and exhibiting, one affects the other mutually. According tothe different contact degree of the animal and the human, the paper proposed three modes ofthe visiting. It is a transferring and accepting process of information when making the visitingand exhibiting design to the zoo. The article has made the discussion to the design of the zoofrom three levels: combination of space, construction of environment, the design of symbol.Then the three different visiting and exhibiting modes zoos were analyzed and discussedsynthetically on the base of theories above.In the last part, the article has discussed the visiting and exhibiting design of quadrumanaof the DaQing Mount Zoo in NeiMeng municipality, in which the author was one of thedesigners. It is the production which integrated the theory and the practice.
