The exit ramp is the only link between the freeway and other intersecting roads, and the section is also the most prone to road accidents. In order to improve the traffic safety of freeway exits and promote the Active Safety Precautions, the visual regular pattern and the characteristics of the vehicle motion before and after the driver's intention to change lanes are studied. In this paper, the D-Lab human data acquisition and analysis system is used to conduct the field experiment in the freeway environment, and the eye movement and vehicle operating status data of the off-ramp before and after driver's intention of the lane-changing are collected and analyzed.Based on the research results at home and abroad, this paper analyzes the lane-changing behavior from three aspects:the type of lane-changing,the division of lane changing process, and the starting point of lane-changing intention.Based on the related research results, the indexes needed in this study are preliminarily developed. On the basis of previous analysis, the design of test program, data processing tools and methods are proposed to ensure the successfully conduct of data analysis. The characteristics and differences of the eye movement parameters and the vehicle operating status indicators before and after the intention of the lane-changing are analyzed using the significance test. And the eye movement index, the vehicle operating status index are filtered to provide the parameter support for the follow-up study. The eye movement regular pattern before and after driver's intention of lane-changing are studied.Areas of interest are divided into seven categories according to the characteristics of compulsory lane changes, and the scope of study is included.According to the state transition in Markov theory, the attention of the drivers before the lane change, the transfer process of the lane change, the gaze probability of the areas of interest in the steady state are studied. At the same time, the visual search path is selected by the secondary transition probability of the viewpoint. The mode of lane change at freeway exits is established.Firstly, the lane-changing model of minimum safety clearance is constructed by kinematics basic theory.Secondly, according to the indexes selected above, the model of driver's lane-changing considering the eye movement parameters and the running state of the vehicle is established. Finally, considering the minimum safety clearance of the surrounding vehicle and the driver's lane-changing behavior, the author applies the basic game theory to explore the feasibility of driver's lane change and establishes the lane-changing model at freeway exits. At last, the content and conclusion of this paper are summarized, and the direction of future research is pointed out.
