To further implement the public transit priority policy and meet higher demand of passengers,customized bus(CB)emerges accordingly,with customized business bus(CBB)being a typical form of CB.Proper line design has important significance for CBB.The line design of CBB is a complex problem,as the stop location,route design and timetable shall all be considered at the same time.In current applications,line design and relevant data of line design are mostly experiential and lack of rationality,probably the demand of passengers unable to be taken full consideration.Based on current research of Paratransit at home and abroad,especially domestic CB,taking reference from advanced domestic and international experience,the line design of CBB was studied with key points being specified below:(1)The characteristics of line design of CBB were analyzed and basic procedures of line design was set out,including the stop location and route design.Detailed explanation of the principle and influencing factors of line design of CBB were gave.The demand data for CBB was pre-processed at the same time.(2)The K-means algorithm was applied to the stop location of CBB and the shortages of K-means was analyzed.Therefore,Improved K-means based on CBB algorithm(IKCBB)was proposed by improving the similarity measurement function,selection manner of cluster centers,selection manner of initial cluster centers and the search mode of cluster centers and introducing IDBI index.(3)The Route Design for CBB model(RDCBB)was established.The objective functions of the model is the maximization of the sum of the passenger benefit,corporate benefit and social benefit.The passenger benefit takes travel cost and early arrival cost into account;the corporate benefit consists of the ticket fare income,drivers'expense,driving expense and stops expense;the social benefit includes reduced traffic jam cost and reduced tail gas emission cost.Constraints consist of the stop constraint,line constraint and timetable constraint.The stop constraint includes the distance constraint and load constraint;the line constraint consists of the setting constraint,length constraint,time constraint and deadhead constraint;the timetable constraint refers to service time constraint.The Shuffled Frog Leaping Algorithm(SFLA)was applied to solve RDCBB.(4)A case was designed and JAVA programming language was used to solve,verify and analyze the algorithm and model.Using the math model and algorithm established above,the line design of CBB was carried out,including the stop location and route design,followed by analysis on the results.Results show that IKCBB and RDCBB are feasible and could obtain high-quality solutions and the overall line design method has certain extent of practicality and validity.
