Ship management and detection means are backward,in recent years, frequent occurrence of accidents when ships in the sea transport. One of the main reasons for the failure of power plant is the failure of lubricating oil. Therefore,it is of great significance to develop new and more convenient on-line detection technology for oil.Laser induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS)that based on atomic emission spectrometry is a qualitative and quantitative analysis method, which has many advantages for on-line detection. In this paper,a new method for fast-quantitative analysis of shipping oil based on LIBS detection technology and microfluidic chip technology was reported. The main contents of this paper are:(1)The principle of laser induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS)detection technology was analyzed, the detection experimental system was established. The system is mainly composed of Nd:YAG laser,a simple bracket, beam transmission system, optical system, photoelectric conversion system and software control system.(2)The problem of liquid sample detection by LIBS detection technology was analyzed. In this paper,a microfluidic chip which can be heated to produce droplets was designed. In order to reduce the interference of liquid environment for LIBS detection, liquid droplet samples were used. The results show that the signal is enhanced obviously and the stability is improved.(3)The detection and analysis of oil by LIBS was experimentally studied.First,Lubricating oil mixed with metal particles was detected by LIBS technique. The experimental results show that the LIBS technique is suitable for the detection of metal particles in oil.The lubricating oil with different concentrations was calculated by the method of intensity-concentration calibration. The relationship between the LIBS signal intensity and the concentration of metal particles was established. The experimental results show that LIBS is suitable for the quantitative detection of metal particles in oil.In this paper,s new method that has the anvantages of online and fast detection is reported, which has broad application prospects.
