Wind turbine simulator(WTS),as an important tool to substitute the actual wind turbine,can simplify the experimental research on wind power and shorten the development period of new technology.Currently,the slow mechanical dynamic of wind turbine caused by its large moment of inertia has become one of the features that can't be neglected in modern commercial wind turbines.However,the actual moment of inertia of the WTS is much smaller than that of the real wind turbine,and researches on mechanical dynamic simulation of WTS at present mainly focus on the stability problem of inertia compensation,but less attention has been paid to the accuracy of mechanical dynamic simulation.Therefore,based on the WTS platform,the following research work on the accuracy simulation of mechanical dynamic of wind turbine has been carried out in this paper:It is found that there exists the accuracy problem of WTS in the mechanical dynamics simulation.To deal with the problem,time domain statistical indexes of the speed trajectory of WTS(speed error ?n and standard deviation of speed error ?n)and efficiency evaluation index of wind turbine(fractional average power Pfavg)are put forward to evaluate the accuracy of the mechanical dynamic simulation of WTS.From the angle of time domain,the transmission chain model of WTS is built,the factors affecting the accuracy of the mechanical dynamic simulation are explored,and the impact mechanism of the two parameters of damping and speed noise on accuracy are especially analyzed.On this basis of damping compensation and speed noise suppression,improvement strategies are designed,and the experimental results show that the strategies can effectively restrain the influence of damping error and speed noise on transmission chain of WTS.Improvement strategies of damping compensation and speed noise suppression are applied to the WTS platform,and the experiments of maximum power point tracking control of the wind turbine are carried out.The simulation results of the experiment have verified that the improved WTS can simulate the mechanical dynamic process of wind turbine more accurately.
