With the rapid development of China's automobile industry, the design of wheel dynamic balancing machine is becoming more and more valuable. Though the dynamic balancing technology develops very rapidly in our country, it is still not so mature compared with the level in foreign countries. Our laboratory has majored in this field for many years and has designed a vertical dynamic balancing machine based on IPC.This paper is based on this machine, and it researches relevant theory of dynamic balancing, the overall architecture of the whole system, the software and hardware design, and it also discusses the methods of calibration, eccentricity and positioning. Then it analyses the error sources which affect the measuring accuracy and stability of this machine, and presents relevant anti-jamming and compensation techniques.First, it analyzes the errors caused by predigestion and approximate treatment while modeling, and the wheel's non-perfection such as radius deviation and angle error. Then it researches relevant compensation techniques, reducing the errors before dynamic balancing measurement.When calculating the parameters, it researches very systematicly and comprehensively all the possible aspects that could introduce errors. It also analyses the mechanical design, the component selections, and the hardware and software design to provide a better direction, minimizing the overall errors.On the design of the automatic positioning, it combines the hardware and software, reducing the frequency converter and the motor's interference to the encoder and zero signals. And it also provides a very precise automatic location technology, which can be used in other automatic systems.Using these techniques, the measuring accuracy of the whole system reaches 95%, and the measuring error of the same wheel at all angles is less than 6%, and the repeatability stabilizes at 95%. Thus this machine gets a high level design at a very low cost, which is very difficult in our country. This machine meets the customers' needs and gets a good usage feedback.
