ABSTRACT:With the number of high-rise buildings are continuously increased,more and more attention has been paid to its wind resistant design.Some disaster reports show that the cladding and components(C&C)of high-rise building are more likely to be damaged than main structure under strong wind.So the wind resistant design on C&C is particularly important.For high-rise buildings with regular plane,designers prefer to use wind load codes.In order to design C&C in a more safe and economic way,it is necessary to consult foreign standards and experiments to improve the determination of wind pressure on C&C in Chinese wind load code(GB 50009-2012).This paper introduces the fundamental theories of wind pressure on C&C.Then,the main research works are as follows:(1)A standard formula to calculate the design wind load is proposed.Based on this formula.The equivalent external pressure coefficient,internal pressure coefficient,area reduction factor and wind direction reduction factor are compared.Then this paper points out some deficiencies in GB 50009-2012 for C&C through an analysis of the reasons for the similarities and differences in these standards.Furthermore,based on the relevant provisions of foreign standards,some specific recommendations are presented to improve the determination of wind pressure in GB 50009-2012.(2)Based on the TPU and Nanjing International Plaza wind tunnel experiment.The distribution characteristics of average wind pressure,fluctuating wind pressure and extreme wind pressure are obtained.Then the influence of terrain category,height and aspect ratio of building on extreme wind pressure distribution is analyzed.The results show that terrain category and building height have less influence on the extreme pressure distribution,and the aspect ratio of building have a great influence on the location of extreme negative pressure.(3)Partitioned wind pressure coefficient of wind tunnel test and national standards are compared to verify the rationality of pressure coefficient in these standards.The results show that the positive pressure coefficient of BS EN-2005 is the closest to the wind tunnel test,the positive pressure coefficient for C&C in GB 50009-2012 can be determined according to the BS EN-2005,and the negative pressure coefficient of national standards is slightly smaller than that of wind tunnel experiment.
