High speed train driver's concern extent on the external road condition information directly influences the operation safety of the train.The head up display system(HUD)displays instrument information of the train right in front of the driver's sight,which reduces the influence on driver's attention to the road condition when the driver acquires the instrument information lowering the head.However,the driver still needs to lower the head to find the operating devices,which disturbs the driver's attention to the external road condition information as before.Therefore,it's necessary to optimize the device operating mode for the high speed train driver.Based on this,the article proposed a high speed train operation assisting method based on HUD and achieved the following work:(1)By adopting a field experiment method,the article analyzed the eye fixation behavior of the driver of the train G8049 in the section from Anshan West Station to Shenyang North Station,analyzed the influence of searching for the operation devices on the driver's attention to the road condition in different driving stages quantitatively,and determined the operation assisting demand of the driver during high speed driving.(2)The article further proposed a dynamic high speed train operation assisting method based on driving task according to the above-mentioned demand.With HUD as the information display tool,the method can display operation assisting information complying with the task requirement dynamically under different tasks.The driver can perform selection and activation by combining the operation assisting information in HUD via the added rocker to replace operation of the real switch.(3)In order to verify effectiveness of the proposed operation assisting method,the article finally designed and organized a human factor experiment with the typical task-phase separation passing task during high speed driving as the study object.First the experiment platform was improved based on the existing driving simulation platform in the laboratory to build the control assisting experiment platform based on tasks.Then the platform was utilized by combining task operation time,eye fixation behavior and subjective convenience evaluation value to complete experiment verification of the effectiveness of the operation assisting modes at different speed levels.Experiment results showed that the proposed operation assisting method could not only improve the high speed train driver's concern extent on the external road condition information remarkably but also reduce driving task operation time and emergency reaction time of the driver,with the subjective convenience feeling of the driver improved.Thus,effectiveness of the proposed operation assisting method was verified.
