Development Of The Spherical Tank Software Design System Bases On The Computer Aided Technology

Computer aided technology has been extensive used in many fields of the modern society as a kind of computer technologies.Particularly for the designing and manufacturing industry of the pressure vessels,its technical means,production efficiency and safety level have been greatly enhanced with the computer aided technology.The conventional designing process of the process vessels is very complex and need a big amount of work,computer aided technology could elegantly solve these problems and it could also lessen the intensity of designing labor,shorten the design cycle.Spherical tanks,as a kind of pressure vessels,are getting more and more extensive for their advantages of high bearing capacity,less steel consumption and occupied area,etc.So it has a deep reality-oriented meaning that combining the computer aided technology and the spherical tank design field.However,due to the specialty and complicity of the designing process of the spherical tank,general design and analysis software do not possess this specific function.And although some spherical tank software design systems had been developed to solve this problem,with advances in technology and the standards of spherical tanks,these early systems have become obsolete.It is impendency to develop a new spherical tank software design system which could adapt to the current design environment.This paper bases on the design process of the spherical tank in the engineering practice and the current design and analysis standards of spherical tanks,develops a spherical tank software design system which could adapt to the current design environment.This system is developed by C# development language and.NET development platform,and use AutoCAD and ANSYS as support software,guided by the programming concept of object-oriented,provides the functions of designing the structure and calculating the strength of the spherical tank,studying the spherical tank with finite-element analysis and drawing the spherical tank diagram with CAD technical.The system consist of the Design and calculation module,FEA module and CAD module,the functions of these modules are relatively independent,and there is the connection between them.It could cover the whole process of spherical tank designing,has contributed to improving design veracity and reducing the design time and complexity.The system also could s provides a basis for the further study and develop to similar systems.
