With the global environment, energy shortage and environmental pollution is becoming more and more serious problems, the use of new energy to replace the traditional car fuel system is the trend of the times. With the gradual development of new energy vehicles in the field of these years, the country has increased the development and research of new energy vehicles and power batteries launched by the battery. As the only power source for electric vehicles, battery important components, which may be influenced by many factors, the battery will be its effectiveness will decrease under abnormal conditions, and the existence of security risks, so the development of the electric car battery management system has excellent is essential and urgent task.In view of the development of the electric vehicle battery management system, this paper has carried on the related research. The introduction and analysis of the following aspects: the research status of the battery management system at home and abroad; several major functional modules of the battery management system(including the protection module, the remaining power balancing strategy(SOC) module, and the realization method of estimation scheme); the key technical problems of battery management system for urgent elaboration. This paper will focus on the analysis and research of the battery management system in a balanced strategy to solve the problem of battery monomer inconsistency, and the estimation method of different battery remaining power. The final design of a set of excellent battery management system, not only can prevent battery abuse and unreasonable application caused by battery damage, security, reliability and high cycle battery; can play the most excellent battery performance, so as to improve the overall efficiency of electric vehicles, to achieve efficient use of battery capacity and energy.In this paper, the hardware design of the system is introduced in the following aspects. Including MCU processor and its peripheral circuit, the single voltage and temperature acquisition circuit, current acquisition circuit, the single voltage equalization circuit, CAN bus communication circuit, insulation detection circuit and other modules.The paper has carried on the battery management system software programming, including voltage, temperature, current monitoring and processing, data processing and storage, serial port and CAN bus communication program.
