With the help of the "3S" integration technology, Landsat TM and Landsat ETM remote sensing images in 1990?1998?2006 and 2014 in the study area of Pingjiang Coutny were interpreted in this research.the characteristics of the landscape pattern and landscape dynamic change of PingJiang County from 1990 to 2014 are analyzed and the drive force were discussed; According to the general principles of the landscape pattern optimization and planning, The landscape ecological planning in Pingjiang county were discussed in this paper. The main conclusions were as follows:(1) From the landscape type level, construction land?forest land patch size respectively increased about 157.1% and 21.0% from 4371.41 hm2?212842.98 hm2 in 1990 to 11238.66?257621.04 hm2 in 2014, Paddy field, dry land, grassland, waters?bare land patch size respectively reduced from 81987.85 hm2?26479.79 hm2?56498.04 hm2?18500.16 hm2? 9741.94 hm2 in 1990 to 65402.34 hm2?22839.03 hm2?38243.03 hm2?13036.51hm2,2609.82 hm2. Among them, the construction land patch size increased most significantly; and bare land patch size reduced most significantly and forest land was in Pingjiang County the main landscape type.(2) From the landscape level, the shannon diversity index respectively was 1.5591? 1.3286?1.1855?1.2247, the largest changes of shannon diversity index and the artificial interference degree was the most serious from 1990 to 1998. The change of shannon diversity index increased and the human disturbance has reduced in 2006-2014, The change of landscape pattern of study area showed the trend of sustainable development.(3) The driving force of the change of the landscape pattern was discussed such as:the rapid growth of population; the advancement of Agricultural Technology and the level of mechanization abd the agricultural industrial structure adjustment; especially the exploitation of feldspar.(4) The suggestion for the landscape ecological planning of Pingjiang County had been put forward according to the landscape pattern analysis, the natural conditions and social development in the area of county.
