Magnetic coupling is an important part of the mechanical transmission system.Its working principle is to realize the transmission of mechanical energy and torque by the magnetic force between the rare earth permanent magnets.Its structure adopts the dynamic seal instead of the traditional static sealing device,which has therefore fundamentally solved the the leakage problem in the industrial transmission.With the discovery of the third generation of rare earth permanent magnet materials,especially Nd-Fe-B materials,magnetic coupling has got an unprecedented development.Based on this technology research and development of the axial permanent magnet coupling with isolation shock,overload protection,allowing the error and other characteristics,is widely used in chemical machinery,instrumentation and food,vacuum and other industries,with the general magnetic coupling can not replace the advantages.In this paper,the working principle and structural characteristics of the axial permanent magnet coupling are firstly expounded.And the design of parameters of axial permanent magnetic coupling is introduced from the aspects of material selection and size design of permanent magnet,determination of optimal working point and material selection of soft magnetic.And then the mathematical model of axial force and moment is established based on the equivalent magnetic charge theory to analyze the relationship between the parameters of the system and the axial force and torque.Then,Maxwell Ansoft software is used to analyze and get the magnetic field distribution of the permanent magnet coupling and the transmitted torque curve.Finally,the dynamic characteristics of the coupling under variable load are analyzed,and the magnetic flux density,starting performance and working parameters in stable working time of the coupling under different variable load coefficients are obtained respectively.The dynamic characteristics of the magnetic coupling under variable load are more accurate and comprehensive than the conventional load analysis.At the same time,it can further summarize and perfect the basic theory and basic method in solving the problem of magnetic coupling,which will also promote permanent magnet Technology development and application.
