With the rapid development of the national economy,the number of vehicles on the road and the total mileage of the highway have gradually increased.Because the highway is very clear,some vehicles have the behavior of speeding,speeding brings serious traffic accidents and casualties,it endangers people's property and life safety,vehicle speed measurement has become an urgent problem to be solved.The region of traditional fixed camera video velocity measurement system is very limited,in this thesis,a method by using the vehicle camera for measuring the speed of the front vehicle is proposed.The front vehicle's driving state is obtained by using the vehicle mounted binocular CCD camera,using the computer vision technology and image processing technology to detect and track the target vehicle,three dimensional reconstruction is used to measure the distance of the target vehicle,and then the speed of the vehicle is calculated according to the time interval between different image frames.This thesis studies in the structural road environment like motorway and using binocular video capture system,using the digital image processing technology to extract the lane line of the current lane,and fitting the extracted results,detecting the position of the vehicle in the image based on the shadow characteristics underneath the vehicles.When a suspicious vehicle is found,the symmetry of the rear of the vehicle is identified;when the suspicious vehicle is confirm as the front vehicle,the Camshift algorithm is used to track the vehicle,and the distance between the speed measuring vehicle and the front vehicle is obtained by using the three-dimensional reconstruction distance measurement algorithm,the corresponding time interval is obtained by identifying different image frames in vehicle video,and the relative driving speed of the front vehicle can be calculated,thus,the speed measurement of the front vehicle is realized.In this thesis,the corresponding algorithm is further verified by the actual video images captured by vehicle video,on the premise of complete Matlab software simulation,based on the hardware platform of DSP+FPGA architecture,completed programming work and optimized hardware platform algorithm transplantation and optimization,constituted the front vehicle speed measurement system based on DSP+FPGA.The experimental results show that the velocity measurement system can satisfy the accuracy requirements of actual speed measurement,which is a kind of effective recognition system for the front vehicle speed measurement.
