Ultra-wideband conformal antenna is widely applied on the plane.Compared with traditional narrowband antenna,ultra-wideband antenna has a very wide bandwidth and stable performance in the UWB band.Conformal antenna can be fitted with the wing surface of the aircraft very well,and its quality is lighter than that of the traditional antenna.in the process of flight of aircraft aerodynamic resistance is very small.What’s more,during the flight,the aerodynamic drag of the aircraft is very small.This paper will combine the actual project requirements and characteristics of ultra-wideband conformal antennas,design a kind of ultra-wide band,high gain,flexible conformal airborne antenna,working in the frequency range of 800MHz-1800 MHz.For the design of the antenna unit,we will simulate and study the array.So that the antenna can be designed to fit the wing surface of the aircraft,and meet the actual engineering requirements and technical indicators.Based on the analysis of the characteristics of five kinds of UWB antennas,the log periodic antenna is selected.In order to meet the demand of the paper,wo need to reform the structure of the traditional log periodic antenna,First of all,with the patch of the array instead of the traditional stick-like,so that it meets the conformal.And then use the gradient feeder structure instead of the traditional long bar feeder,to meet the impedance matching.According to the technical parameters and requirements of this paper,we selected the appropriate parameters,and has designed the 17 elements,21 and 22 elements of patch type log periodic antenna model,and carries on the simulation.By comparing three kinds of patch log periodic antenna in the direction of the figure.17 elements patch type of log periodic antenna unit cannot meet the requirements of the gain that more than 10 dB,the gain of 21 elements patch type log periodic antenna unit is more than 10 dB at low frequency and high frequency,so meet the requirement of the unit in this paper.22 elements patch type of log periodic antenna unit can also meet the requirement of gain,but compared with the 21 element antenna,the gain decreases slightly.According to the performance index of the conformal antenna array,we analyzed several kinds of airborne array antenna array,and then select the Dolph Chebyshev method to carry out comprehensive research on the array of log periodic antenna.The influence of different array elements,different array spacing and different phase difference on the pattern of log periodic antenna array is simulated and studied.Finally we selected 64 log periodic antenna array unit arrangement attached to the surface of an airplane in accordance with Dolph Chebyshev distribution mode synthesis method.It can meet the requirement of antenna array gain of 28 dB and the maximum sidelobe level less than-30 dB.The performance for the patch type log periodic antenna design verification of the patch type log periodic antenna on the simulation of the 2:1 scaling processing,gain and return loss of the antenna unit to do the actual verification,confirmed the antenna simulation results.On the surface of the test results,the design of the patch log periodic antenna can meet the technical requirements of this paper.In order to verify the performance of the patch log periodic antenna,the 1:1 ratio of the antenna is processed in real time,and the gain and return loss of the antenna unit are verified.The actual test results show that the designed patch log periodic antenna can meet the technical requirements in this paper. |
