With the continuous rapid development of communication technology based on high-speed aircraft such as modern airborne and missile,the functional requirements of communication system and equipment are constantly improving.The increasingly special and complex carrier environment makes the requirements for the size and performance of antenna in the system more and more stringent.UWB(Ultra-Wideband)technology can use one UWB antenna to realize the function of multiple narrowband antennas in wideband,thus reducing the number of antennas in limited space.Combined with the research and design idea of conformal antenna,UWB carrier conformal antenna can further improve the performance of carrier-based communication system.So,the research of UWB carrier conformal antenna is very important.Therefore,two UWB carrier conformal antenna technologies based on practical engineering researches are studied in this paper,namely,UWB wing conformal vertically polarized omnidirectional antenna technology in Chapter 3 and metal carrier embedded UWB vertically polarized end-fire conformal antenna technology in Chapter 4.The conformal carrier of UWB wing conformal vertical polarized omnidirectional antenna is the wing.The new vertical polarized omnidirectional antenna proposed in this paper has good omnidirectional radiation characteristics.Combined with the loading technology,the VSWR(Voltage Standing Wave Ratio)of the antenna is less than 2.5 in 6 octave,and the profile height is only 0.013λ_L,which makes the antenna can serve as a layer of aircraft surface skin attached on the wing’s surface,and has a good conformation effect;The conformal carrier of metal carrier embedded UWB vertically polarized end-fire conformal antenna is a cylindrical metal platform,and the antenna is embedded inside the platform.In this paper,the scheme of high and low frequency half-mode Vivaldi antenna common-caliber layout is adopted to achieve beam coverage in the quasi end radiation direction in 9 octaves.In addition,the wideband impedance matching technique of antenna in metal cavity is also analyzed and studied.The antenna is embedded in the carrier under the condition of satisfying the target electrical performance,and the good conformal effect that the antenna is invisible outside the carrier platform is realized.The main research content of this paper is divided into four parts.In chapter 1,the research and development status of UWB antennas and conformal antennas are summarized.Chapter2 analyzes the relevant theoretical basis of the research topic;In chapter 3,the UWB wing conformal vertical-polarized omnidirectional antenna technology is studied in depth,and the wing conformal vertical-polarized omnidirectional antenna that can cover 100-600 MHz is proposed.The co-simulation of the antenna and the carrier,the machining test and verification of the antenna are carried out.In chapter 4,the embedded UWB vertical-polarized end-fire conformal antenna with metal carrier is studied in depth,and the embedded UWB vertical-polarized end-fire conformal antenna with metal carrier covering2-18 GHz is proposed.The co-simulation of the antenna and the carrier,the machining test and verification of the antenna are also carried out.The test results show that the two carrier conformal antennas studied in this paper have obvious advantages in conformal degree,low profile performance and bandwidth,and meet the requirements.
