With the rapid development of the national economy for these years,the automotive industry especially the Mini Truck industry are improved rapidly,at the same time,people’s attitudes of using vehicles is also changing.Customer demand for vehicle performance especially ride performance has generally improved.In addition,truck manufacturers have also begun to invest heavily in Vibration Research.Vibration is the main reason affecting vehicle’s ride performance,in this paper,the first Mini Truck developed by Wuzheng company is taken as the research object,and the following research work is done by using the FEA method and test method:1.The excitation source affecting vibration characteristics of Mini Truck is analyzed.The attenuation effect of suspension on vibration is studied,and some requirements are put forward for the resonance problem,2.Built FEA model by using Hyper Works software,and the steps and requirements of modeling are introduced;3.The Modal research of the Frame and the Vehicle is carried out on the FEA model,the fixed frequency and the corresponding formation are studied.4.Apply Frequency Response Analysis on FEA model,study the response under two different excitations:the dual front wheel excitation and Engine idle excitation,and the possible vibration issue of the Mini Truck is predicted by the above result.5.The vibration tests of the Mini Truck prototype are carried out.The accuracy of the FEA model and the issue found in the analysis are verified by comparing the experimental results.Some qualitative suggestions are given for the design change.
