Ice-shedding may occur swing on transmission line, caused conductor bobbing and adjacent span have a greater tension difference, serious could leaded to phase to phase flashover, tower collapses and other accident. For safe and reliable operation of the entirely power system caused huge t hreat. Therefore, the study of them behaves great significance in power supply engineering. In the paper,a finite element modal of transmission line was established by ANSYS,the static and dynamic characteristics of transmission line system,ice-shedding of conductor problem were studied.First, engineering practice that the construction of tower, conductor and insulator couple finite element modal while solving the mechanical properties problems by nonlinear mechanics theory. The static response characte ristics of several conditions with different ice thickness, the elevation between suspension po ints and span were analyzed. Also the dynamic characteristics of a single tower, cables and tower-line system were studied.Secondly, research the changing rules of amplitude of ice-shedding and longitudinal unbalanced tension under different influencing rules, ignore the impact of transmission towers, the conductor-insulator finite element model was built. The results showed that: with the shedding span increasing, the longitudinal unbalance tension conductor suspension point approximate linearly increases. When the span was small, the conductor ice-shedding height increases with the increase of the span. When the span increases to a certain extent,it tends to saturation when changing the height of the conductor ice-shedding.The unbalance tension of ice-shedding increases faster and faster with the ice thickness,ice-shedding span and ice-shedding rate, elevation increasing. When the span certain, the unbalanced tension of ice-shedding decreases with the insulator length increasing. With different type of ice-shedding has a great change on unbalanced tension. Finally, study of ice-shedding on dynamic response its structure optimization of transmission tower-line system. It got the changed rules of the longitudinal unbalance tension, the amplitude of ice-shedding and transmission tower stress of effect, consider de-ice phase position and numbers, couple of tower line system, ice thickness,de-ice rate,“zipper” de-ice and elevation.Focus on the effects of leading ice-shedding of transmission tower stress.Analysis ice-shedding problems for the ice thickness change, and compared to find the point of failure.A structure optimization scheme was put forward to for easy fault point. The research results provide a reference for subsequent line design.
