Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR)imaging technology are receiving more and more attentions and thus a lot applications as one of the most important parts of radar signal processing because of its valuable status in military and national defence areas.SAR platform are applied widely in plane-borne,missile-borne and space-borne platforms,particularly in missile-borne application which is the most difficult as well as important area,SAR platform based on missile-borne has already developed as the main part of the precision guided weapons in different countries.This thesis mainly focuses on the SAR imaging and signal processing system,carrying out research in two aspects from spotlight SAR imaging algorithm and the hardware implementation of signal processing system.Based on the characteristics of huge computation complexity of PFA algorithm and large amount of the echo data,hardware system adopted the architect of one K-7 FPGA plus one TMS320C6678 DSP chip.After that,the PFA algorithm to this signal processing system platform were applied and finally the ambition of real time imaging was completed.Real-time AD chip completed the function of converting the analog data into digital data and then transferred the digital data into FPGA to implement digital down sample and range pulse compression.FPGA then sent the data to DSP after above steps by high speed SRIO port to fulfill the rest of the PFA algorithm.After all the processing steps were done,DSP transmitted the final image data to PC through Ethernet to real time display on the computer screen.Lastly,the correctness and efficiency of this signal processing system are checked by simulate data and real echo data in flight test,including the hardware architecture and the signal processing algorithm.
