Urban rail transit, which is part of the city transport system, aims at solving the problem of citizen commuting. Therefore, first of all, studying the time-space distribution characteristics and basic rules of passenger flow in different urban rail transit lines is necessary.According to which, the operation organization plans are enacted and implemented, thereby the carrying capacity of the system and the passenger flow in transport lines are matched. In actual operation, the mismatch of carrying capacity of the system and the passenger flow in transport lines is pervasive, consequently damages the interest of both passengers and the enterprise. As a result, the time-space distribution characteristics of passenger flow in city rail transport, and the transport organization method in solving the malconformation of passenger flow's time-space distribution should be studied,in order to enact and implement the urban rail transit operation plans reasonably. The main content and conclusion of this essay are as follows:(1)The essay analyzes the content, methodology, and general patterns of passenger flow's time-space distribution in city rail transport lines. The essay presents the analysis index for the passenger flow's time frame and section variation.Based on some cases, the essay proposes a method that divides rail's departing timeframe and passenger flow section.(2)The essay takes Beijing Metro line 2,line 5,and lilne Batong as typical examples.Based on the actual passenger flow data, existing methods and the analysis index mentioned previously are used for a full analysis of the passenger flow time-space distribution characteristics, whereby the conclusion and the cause of passenger flow time-space distribution in various lines are summarized.(3)In terms of organizational method, operational applicability, and real-life operation cases, transport organization methods, which design transport capacity based on different timeframes, various sections, and different directions, are studied.According to which, combined with passenger flow time-space distribution in the case line, the transport organization strategy that matches transport capacity and passenger flow for various lines is researched.(4)The paper researches and sets up an optimization model for train plan of urban rail transit based on hybrid train formation according to passenger flow carrying capacity in different timeframe.Taking Beijing Metro line 2 as an example, the operation effect of train plan of urban rail transit based on hybrid train formation is compared and analyzed. The result shows that, under the circumstance that upper limits of the maximum fracture surface load factors are the same, the total waiting time of passengers in 6/4 train formation and 6/3 train formation operation plans decreases by 33%and 52%respectively,comparing to the sale train formation operation plan, while the running kilometrage decreases by 18%and 19%respectively,and the operation time of trains increases by 28%and 76%.The result suggests that hybrid train formation plan could increase the service quality, lower the operational cost, and add more human costs. In addition, providing that the service qualities are the same, hybrid train formation plan allows better match of transport capacity and passenger flow in various timeframe.(5)The paper researches and sets up an optimization model for multi-routing operation plan based on passenger flow difference in fracture surface.Beijing Metro line 6 is used as an example to compare and analyze the operation effect of multi-routing operation plans. The result shows that giving the same maximum transport capacity, the long and short train routing operation plan increases the average load factors of upstream and downstream by 38%and 28%,respectively,reduces operating trains by 22%,and increases transporting efficiency by 33%,comparing to single train routing plan.It suggests that the long and short train routing operation plan makes a better match between transport capacity of lines and passenger flow.Additionally, the number of operating trains could be decreased, while load factor of all the sections could be increased, along with the transport efficiency and the enterprise's operation benefits.
