Due to the fast development of Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone(Toutunhe District),insufficiency of water supply has become an increasingly problem in the district,especially around the under-constructed of the Southern Part of Urumqi High-speed Railway Station.This paper suggests an overall water supply program around the Southern Part of Urumqi High-speed Railway Station on the basis of water supply balance and the general development plan in this area.This paper analyzes status quo of yield,quality and water supply networks around the Southern Part of station.Based on the principle of adjustment between technological requirements and recent development around the area,this paper suggests to use the present water supply network thoroughly and it calculates the water demand,water supply network routes and scale of newly constructed water supply facilities according to the relevant industry standards.It also provides some practical solutions on dealing with the contradictions between recent water supply and water resources security in the future,in order to avoid over development and resources wastes.In accordance with Code for Classification of Urban Land Use and Classified Standard for Urban Water Consumption,this paper predicts the maximum daily water demand around the station,which is 20 thousand m3/d.Taking the present water demand and resources into consideration,this paper suggests to optimize the existed water supply networks.Besides,it proposes to lay new water supply pipes along the main streets with the length of 2,136 meters DN300 pipes,397 meters of DN400 pipes and 955 meter of DN600 pipes.Therefore,the ramified pipe lines will be connected into a circular network and the bottleneck of water supply could be solved.This paper also suggests to build a reservoir or establish a joint operation model of multiple water sources.Thus,overall water supply capacity and security will be improved in this area.
