In recent years,Many studies for the electrolyte of lithium/carbon fluoride(Li/CF_x)battery have been researched by some and overseas experts.As an important part of the battery,the physical and chemical properties of electrolyte play a vital role in the performance of the battery.In order to solve the low discharge voltage platform and improve the performance of the Li/CF_x battery,this article studies the several kinds of electrolyte to improve the performance of the Li/CF_x battery.Firstly,twelve kinds of organic solvent(EC?GBL?DME?THF?1,3-DO?SL?DG?EMC?MSM?VC?FEC?DMSO)are used as additive of thecommercial electrolyte,respectively.Through the experimental comparison,VC,FEC and DMSOcan enhance the discharge voltage platform.However,VC and FEC are very expensive and difficult to prepare,and these questions limits their wide range of applications.DMSO is very cheap and easy to prepare,whichhas a significant improvement on the performance of the batterynomatter what the discharge voltage and specific capacitycompared with VC and FEC.Thus DMSO can be widely used in the electrolyte of Li/CF_x battery.Secondly,a novel DMSO/1,3-DO based electrolyte is proposed.From the tests,thedischarge voltage plateau of the Li/CF_x battery with 1mol L-1 LiBF4/DMSO+1,3-DO(5:5,v:v)can reach 2.69 V at 0.1C(Conductivity 14.85 mS cm-1,discharge capacity 831 mAh g-1 and the highest energy density,2196 Wh kg-1).Compared to 1molL-1 LiBF4/PC+DME(5:5,v:v),the energy density of the batteries with an electrolyte of 1mol L-1 LiBF4/DMSO+1,3-DO(5:5,v:v)has been improved more than 12% at 0.1C.Finally,another novel Q8/(PC+DME)based electrolyte is also proposed to study the performance of the Li/CF_x battery at differentrates.At 25 C,the discharge voltage plateau of the battery with 1mol L-1 LiBF4 Q8/(PC+DME)(5:95,v:v)can reach 1.87V(discharge capacity 377.9mAh g-1,energy density 693.7Wh kg-1 and power density 40482 W kg-1),and the performance of the battery is the most prominent from the tests.In conclusion,improving the performance of the electrolyte is an effective way to improve the discharge performance of the Li/CF_x battery.
