Solar energy resources is widely distributed,and it is very abundant as the highest potential new energy.With the development of photovoltaic power generation step by step,the monitoring system and fault diagnosis of photovoltaic array in the PV power generation are becoming more and more important.At present,the researches about the fault diagnosis of photovoltaic arrays in China or foreign countries are almostly remaining on the connection structure.The existed fault diagnosis methods for PV arrays can be classified into electrical signals method and infrared images method,and both of them is based on the measuring of the cell’s external behavior to diagnose the faults.Although these faults diagnosis methods are valuable in some engineering situation,their study stopped on the external characteristics,not continuing to study the modules of the PV panel or analysis the faults from the inner mechanism.In order to study the change of model parameters when solar cells are in optical losses faults,and get a quantitative description between them,we analyze the electric-generation principle of monocrystalline silicon solar cells and the changes occurring to the inner parameters,and deduced the relati on between the module parameters and the fault degrees of optical losses.In this paper,the key lies in the quick and accuracy parameters identification from the output I-V curves,and parameters identification method of self-adaptive chaos particle swarm optimization is introduced to identify the five parameters of photovoltaic cells.On this basis,the changing principles of photovoltaic cells in optical losses.Then,the system with the control core of ARM to measuring photovoltaic cells ’ output I-V curves has been built in this paper.The method of reducing the surface light transmittance of photovoltaic cells has been used to simulate different degrees of optical losses,and the experiments has been done over and over again in this system.Finally,the deduces has been verified by the experiments results,about the influence of optical losses on the module parameters.
