Hydropower gets rapid development in recent years in China,because of the characteristics of low cost,renewable and clean.It conforms to the national requirement of building a resource conserving and environment-friendly society.With large of cascade hydropower stations have put into production,the optimal operation of cascade reservoirs got attaches great importance to the whole society,but also become a research hotspot.The present study focuses on economic dispatch,less involve abnormal emergency joint dispatching of cascade reservoirs under the fault conditions.Also,the research object is the conventional cascade reservoirs,less involved in the adjacent cascade reservoirs.The Yalong river cascade reservoirs as the main research object combined with the key problems of the safe and economic operation of the adjacent cascade reservoirs,in this paper,the types of joint optimization dispatching model of cascade reservoirs,solving method and the abnormal and accident emergency joint dispatching is discussed.The main research contents include:First,this paper expounds the background,the significance,the main problems and the major recent developments of cascade reservoirs optimization,including the main research progress of reservoir optimal operation both at home and abroad.With the Yalong river cascade reservoirs as an example,this paper introduces the adjacent cascade reservoirs system and its main operation characteristics.Secondly,it analyzes the typical mathematical models and optimization algorithms for optimized regulation of conventional cascade reservoirs system,select the corresponding model to simulate the Yalong river cascade reservoir simulation in the meaning time,and the calculation results are analyzed.Then,the power transmission system of adjacent cascade reservoirs has been introduced.Conventional optimization dispatching solution was analyzed as well.The analysis results show that the safety margin is too low.Therefore,it puts forward the safety margin target function and gets its optimal solution.On this basis,it proposes the improved mathematical model for end-to-end cascade reservoirs system.The calculation results verify the improved optimization dispatching mathematical model is valid in solving low safety margin of conventional optimization dispatching for the adjacent cascade reservoirs.Finally,it analyzes the main safe-operation risks of the adjacent cascade reservoirs when typical anomalies and accidents occurs,and proposes the corresponding emergency control strategy.On this basis,it extracts the key technologies for the adjacent cascade reservoirs,and the practical case demonstrates the emergency dispatching strategy is feasible when abnormal and accident happens.
