In recent years,China highway tunnel construction and operating number constantly increased,which single-tunnel for subtended traffic occupies larger proportion,however,compared with one-way twin-tube tunnel,the single-tunnel for subtended traffic has many bad malpractice,such as higher fire occurred rate,fire risk and personnel evacuation difficulty,in which the combustion will last for a longer time and easily cause serious personnel injuries and property damage.The problem of personnel safety evacuation need to be resolved urgently.Based on a single-hole two-lane tunnel,we carried out the study on human evacuation and rescue under pilot-used models in single highway tunnel for subtended traffic,obtained results as follows:(1)We investigated and analyzed disaster prevention and rescue system of one-way twin-tube tunnel at home and abroad,analyzed the advantages and disadvantages and applicable conditions of various types of disaster prevention and rescue systems,and put forward a basic principles and specific processes for disaster prevention and rescue joint response.(2)We performed a personnel evacuation parameter analysis of single-tunnel for subtended traffic,proposed the calculation formula of personnel load density in single-hole bi-directional road tunnels,determined the capacity ranges of the pilot tunnel and the significance of research of personnel emergency escape velocity.(3)We carried out experiment of emergency escape velocity in 5kinds of visibility conditions,analyzed the features of personnel evacuation behaviours and obtained the value of personnel emergency escape velocity.(4)Based on above tunnel fire scenario and personnel behavior features and basic evacuation parameters,we utilized simulating software to set up the personnel evacuation model with background of a certain engineering tunnel,analyzed the evacuation results under different scenarios which the pilot designing parameters varies or with an impairment effect of passage capacity by stranded vehicles,eventually determined the reasonably key design parameter of the pilots in single-tunnel for subtended traffic and personnel evacuation control strategy.
