Excellent interaction performance between pantograph and catenary plays a significant role in stable current harvest and safety operation of high-speed trains.As the gradual promotion of operation speed of trains,the aerodynamic performance of pantograph tremendously influences the dynamic interaction between it and catenary.Therefore,it’s necessary to investigate the aerodynamic features of pantograph and stability of dynamic interaction·based on rational air-structure coupling methods.CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics)software,Fluent,is employed to simulate the fluid field around the pantograph to capture the aerodynamic characteristics of pantograph.For the steady computation of aerodynamic forces,κ-ε model is adopted to be the turbulence model and the method that takes the effects of the displacements of the pantograph itself on aerodynamic uplift forces of the whole pantograph into account is introduced.The consequences show that the displacements of the pantograph affect the aerodynamic uplift forces of the integral structure.For the unsteady computation of aerodynamic forces,LES is used instead of κ-εmodel.The fluctuation characteristics of aerodynamic forces are paid extra attention to and the method mentioned above is also utilized here.The results illustrate that the fluctuation of aerodynamic forces of pantograph is large and the displacement of the pantograph has influence on the main frequency of the fluctuation.The dynamic interaction between pantograph and catenary is explored with the help of ANSYS through which the interaction model of pantograph and catenary is established.Two methods of air-structure interaction are respectively considered:the unidirectional method and displacement-dependent method.Take the fluctuation of aerodynamic forces into consideration and the results show that the fluctuation has great effects on the contact force between pantograph and catenary.Operation in closing stomata will get larger scope of oscillation of the contact force and the possibility of contact loss will rise when operating in opening stomata.The employment of the method of displacement-dependent coupling,compared with the other method,will make the stability of the dynamic interaction tend to deteriorate.
