The car's frontal crash test is a mandatory test that must be passed before every new car goes public.The test uses a dummy to replace the occupant in the vehicle and collects the relevant data required by the sensor.China's research on dummies started late,compared to Europe and the United States and other developed countries there is a certain gap in 2000 with reference to the US regulatory standards began to implement the first set of automotive safety regulations CMVDR294,which mainly on the impact of the front of the parameters Make detailed provisions.This paper focuses on the damage of the head and neck in the frontal collision,establishes the finite element model of the head and neck,uses Hypermesh as the pretreatment tool,and simulates the collision with LS-DYNA as the solver.First,this article refers to the relevant medical literature on the human head and neck injury mechanism and guidelines to sort out and summarize.Based on the existing dummy model,build the structure of the fake head and neck of the finite element model.The muscle tissue was modeled using the rubber material in the LS-DYNA material library and a MAT_NULL shell element was added to the outer surface of the head model to improve the negative volume phenomenon of the solid element during the collision.The neck model is made using a rubber material and a rigid material disc.After analysis,the material parameters of the head muscles are adjusted appropriately,with the aim of being closer to the material properties of the solid model.Set an accelerometer in the head centroid to output the acceleration-time curve.The neck model was then subjected to bending and tensile calibration tests to outputthe reference plane corner,the atresia moment,and the deceleration versus time curve.The curve from the head and neck model is consistent with the test requirements,which proves that the head and neck model can simulate the collision test.The head and neck model is coupled with the whole dummy model to retain the components such as seat,seat belt and steering wheel.The acceleration-time curve is extracted from the lower column of the B-pillar in the actual vehicle collision and added to the corresponding position of the collision model.The acceleration of the part,the shear force of the neck,the axial tensile force curve,combined with the head and neck of the force analysis,analysis of movement damage.Using the isolation method and establishing a simplified neck model,the head and neck were analyzed separately,the pretreatment workload was reduced and the speed of the solution was solved.The study of the model of the dummy model was made,which provided reference for the design of the passive safety of the car.
