Collision warning strategy for heavy-duty vehicles is very significant for improving the safety of the vehicles,hence it has become the hot issue in the vehicle industry.The existing collision warning strategy which is influenced by host vehicle states,other vehicles states and road environment doesn't consider the complicated relationships about these factors which include some uncertainties.In addition the simple rear under-run prevention couldn't ensure the safety of the passenger vehicle when it drills into the bottom of the heavy-duty vehicle.Supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China(51475206)?Jilin Province Science and Technology Development Plan Projects(20140204010GX),this paper designs a heavy-duty vehicle collision warning strategy based on the multi-information.Firstly,identification methods of the multi-information are came up.And it is proposed that the forward and the rear-end collision classification warning strategies are based on those methods for the heavy-duty vehicles.Finally,they are proved by utilizing both Truck Sim-Matlab/Simulink co-simulation and real vehicle test which are based on the typical working condition.This paper carried out the following tasks,(1)Research on the multi-information identificationThe paper sets up the multi-information perception framework for heavy-duty vehicles,and comes up with the way of collecting condition information by utilizing RT3000 and ESR radar.Meanwhile,partial host vehicle states would be estimated by vehicle dynamics model.According to the collected information,this paper designs the estimator of the road slope which is based on the Luenberger observer and the estimator of the road friction coefficient which is based on both least square method and slope method.(2)Research on the forward collision classification warning strategyThe forward collision classification warning strategy with the road identification is proposed.The strategy fully considers the influence of the road slope and the road friction coefficient,and it includes the classification warning method.Finally,the strategy is proved by Truck Sim-Matlab/Simulink co-simulation.(3)Research on the rear-end collision classification warning strategyThe rear-end collision classification warning strategy is proposed based on the road identification.This strategy not only considers the road environment information from rear vehicle,but also matches the adjustable rear under-run prevention well to improve the safety of both host vehicle and rear vehicle.Finally,this strategy is proved by Truck Sim-Matlab/Simulink co-simulation.(4)Real vehicle testFirstly,this paper sets up a platform for real vehicle test,and the radar target identification strategy which is proposed would accurately identify the target by ESR radar.The real vehicle tests which include host car to car rear stationary and car to host car rear stationary.are designed for proving the accuracy of the proposed strategies,which meets the requirement of school environment.The test results show that it is significant to prove the safety of vehicles by the strategies which would warn the driver in time and avoid the collision accident.
