The Improvement And Research Of Yangling Water Sports Square Landscape Design

The accelerating economic development brought in fierce social competition.As a result,the highly pressure and intensity work led to that an increasing number of people were in the state of sub-health prematurely.Therefore,people are paying more attention to their health and hope for doing sports in the limited time to release pressure and increase body’s strength.However,the high fees of fitness club and gym makes people daunting,while the open urban sports square is undoubtedly the best choice for everyone.In order to meet the demands of citizens,an increasing number of sports squares are constructed.City sports square become a "new star" in urban public space and urban green space system.Under this situation,the landscape design of urban sports square was studied and the Yangling water sports square was as an example,in order to provide theoretical basis and practical reference for urban sports square landscape design.(1)According to the function and characteristic of urban squares,the classification of urban squares was studied.The city squares could be divided into memorial square,commercial plaza,traffic distribution square,style square,municipal square base on their function;the urban squares also could be classified to the ancient city square and modern city square according to the building time;they also could be divided into regular,irregular and square group squares according to the shape of squares;they could be classified to architecture square,sculpture plaza,waterscape square according to the dominant element of city square;in accordance with administrative rights,they could be divided into the municipal square,the district and local square,etc.(2)We concluded that the natural elements and cultural features of urban sports squares.Specifically,the natural elements consisted of local topography,ecological environment,plant vegetation and climate conditions,etc.;while the cultural features contained the history,culture connotation,city location,customs of this city.(3)We proposed the landscape design principles of urban sports square.There were six principles: integrity principle,ecological principle,the principle of diversity,participation principle,pedestrian principle,and culture principle.(4)The landscape of Yangling water sports square was improved from the following aspects: concept design,the design and partition of space structure,pavement,planting,hotel,landscape sketch,theme sculpture,lighting,water supply and drainage.
