The geographical position of our country causes the coastal areas to be the hit object by typhoon and other severe weather. As an important carrier of electricity transmission, safety and reliable operation of overhead transmission line play a very important role in the development of coastal areas. However, with high soft, lightweight, small damping characteristics, overhead transmission lines are sensitive to wind load, which caused a great loss to the local economic construction and development. However, the method of using full stress design rule and considering the amplification coefficient of wind load to make equivalent calm wind effect analysis, which is widely used for the current transmission lines wind resistant design, has ignored the strong pulsation characteristics of typhoon load.In order to study the dynamic response of transmission line tower system under typhoon wind load, the research points are as follows:Firstly, the YanMeng typhoon field model is chosen to simulate the typhoon average wind.Combined with related data, the Rammasun is inverted to verify YanMeng typhoon wind field adaptability; Then the simulated-circle method combined with Hainan tropical cyclone landing in the last50 years is used to make probability statistical analysis of tropical cyclone key parameters, and the extreme wind speed of HaiKou is calculated by the YanMeng typhoon field model and the Monte Carlo simulation method, presenting a method of estimating extreme wind speed using the data of tropical cyclones. After that,we introduce the typhoon fluctuating wind properties and build a one-tower and two-span conductors transmission line model in ANSYS according to local tower. And the fluctuating wind speed was simulated by Shiyuan typhoon spectrum. Finally,we make the dynamic response analysis of transmission line under typhoon wind load and study the transmission line tower wind load effect under different wind load, the contribution rate to axial force of principal members of wind load of conductors and ground wires and the pulse amplification of typhoon wind load is also calculated.Besides,we verify the axial force of leeward side principal members from the perspective of compression stability.Research shows that the axial force of principal members after considering pulsating wind amplification,is far more than the design value, which is likely to cause compression instability and tower collapse.
