Porcelain insulator is an important component of power system,playing the role of supporting wire and insulation.The porcelain products is a kind of hybrid material,mainly by the distribution of quartz particles in the glassy matrix composition,expansion coefficient matrix and quartz particles due to different lines,resulting in porcelain internal prone to micro cracks.Because the ceramic material is a typical brittle material,the crack is easy to expand and causes serious consequences.For conventional methods of detection of porcelain insulators such as ultrasonic detection method and so on,there exist such insufficient as detecting micro cracks,interference factors,or can not be used on-line and other issues,it is difficult to meet the effective detection and diagnosis of porcelain insulator demand.In view of the above situation,this paper proposes a complete set of porcelain insulator vibration detection method of acoustic online,and the method by detecting the application of comparative test and field the validity and reliability of the proposed method proved.This paper makes a detailed analysis on the theory of vibration detection,through the finite element analysis of the vibration modal and dynamic response of porcelain insulators when stimulated,the vibration law of changes in any condition,to provide guidance for further test.Secondly,using step signal(hammer)and continuous white noise(special white noise signal generator)of intact and defective insulators were motivated,defects will draw on vibration frequency under different excitation caused by different effects,verify the correctness and reliability of the simulation,and the change is the main basis of porcelain insulator vibration acoustic testing method.After that,the paper introduces a complete set of acoustic testing system for detecting porcelain insulator defects,including its hardware composition and software development.Finally,the detection system is tested by the test method to obtain its evaluation criteria,and used in the field of porcelain insulator detection,and obtained better detection results.
