With the energy crisis and the environmental crisis,the EVs(electrical vehicles)have gained extensive attention all around the world.Large scales of EVs are both a challenge and an opportunity.On the one hand,due to the randomness of EVs,unordered charging process may create new load peak.On the other hand,with the development of control technology,EVs can act as mobile energy storage system with V2 G characteristics.And EVs can provide frequency regulation service to the power system.With the economic development and the improvement of people's living standards,the thermostatically-controlled loads have become a large scale of demand response resource.In a certain range of temperature,the thermostatically controlled loads are able to provide frequency regulation service to the power system through dynamically changing their on/off states.This paper mainly focus on how to provide effective frequency regulation service to the power system using the EVs and thermostatically-controlled loads.The main works of this paper is as follow:(1)The modelling methods of a single EV and EV aggregation are developed.The trip characteristics and energy consumption characteristics are studied.(2)For the centralized controlled EVs,a centralized EV frequency control strategy is developed considering the participation degree of the EV users.The influence of the participation degree on the demand response effect is studied.(3)For the decentralized controlled EVs,a decentralized EV frequency control strategy is developed considering the user demand constraints.The dynamic frequency regulation capacity of EVs is assessed by an EV dynamic classification method.(4)Based on the characteristics of the thermostatically controlled loads,a centralized frequency control strategy is developed.Combined with the centralized EV frequency control strategy,a coordination frequency control strategy for EVs and thermostatically-controlled loads is developed.
