In recent years,several major earthquakes have occurred in China,causing a lot of damage to the retainingstructure of the subgrade.How to reduce the damage caused by the earthquake on the retaining structure of the subgrade has become the hot and difficult point of the current research.In this paper,through the retaining wall and filling between the provision of a layer of 30cm thick with shock absorption of rubber or EPS foam or foam concrete,to reduce the earthquake on the retaining structure of the destruction of the purpose of the project.The numerical analysis model of gravity retaining wall was established by using ABAQUS software.The dynamic displacement,dynamic earth pressure and acceleration magnification coefficient of retaining wall under the earthquake were analyzed after the different shock absorption materials were arranged between retaining wall and filling,to obtain better shock absorption material.The main work and conclusions are as follows:(1)Under the static loadings,the horizontal displacement and the effective earth pressure of the gravity retaining wall are studied,after rubber material or EPS foam or foam concrete with different hardness was setbetween the retaining wall and the filling.Results indicated that:When the damping material is rubber material,the horizontal displacement of the retaining wall decreases with the increase of hardness,but greater than that without shock absorption material;earth pressure increases with increasing hardness,but less than that without shock absorption material.When the shock absorption material is EPS foam,the horizontal displacement of the retaining wall is larger than that without shock absorption material,and the earth pressure smaller than that without shock absorption material.When the shock absorption material is foam concrete,the horizontal displacement and earth pressure are larger than those without shock absorption material.(2)When the design of seismic acceleration is 0.1g,0.2g,0.3g,0.4g,dynamic displacements and dynamic earth pressure and acceleration amplifications of gravity retaining wall was studied,after rubber material or EPS foam or foam concrete with different hardness was setbetween the retaining wall and the filling.Results indicated that:when horizontal seismic acceleration was 0.1g,EPS foam shock absorption effect is better;but the shock absorption effect is not obvious,and then consider the material production and economic and other factors,consider 0.1g,we may not add shock absorbing material;when horizontal seismic acceleration was 0.2g,rubber shock absorption effect is better,when shore hardness was 70;when horizontal seismic acceleration was 0.3g,EPS foam shock absorption effect is better;when horizontal seismic acceleration was 0.4g,rubber shock absorption effectwas better,when hardness was 30.
