Border towns play an important role in trading economic with neighbor countries.Border towns retain beautiful natural style and ecological environment which related to town’s social activities,such as tourism,trade,communication,and so on.Roads also play an important role in towns,closely relating to people’s daily life,improving people’s life effectiveness,affecting town’s economic development,its looking like a window that shows town’s image to others.With our country’s development of urbanization,the standard of life quality get improved,cars become essential means of transport.The northeast cold border town can’t satisfy demand of people and cars.At the same time,town’s road expose many problems which make the northeast cold border town’s function imperfect,conformation old.(1)This article basic research mainly include:Define relevant concepts of northeast cold border town;Analysis domestic and foreign road landscape design research;Sum up influence and component factors of the northeast cold border town;Put forward principles and theories which leading northeast cold border town’s road landscape design;Summarize methods of northeast cold border town’s road landscape design.Thus forming the overall thinking and research framework.(2)This article totally analyze the problems of northeast cold border town,summarizing as follows:Design lack of northeast cold climate factor consideration;Infrastructures are worn;Lack of seasonal landscape and space for people rest and plant landscape;Regional characteristics are not prominent,and so on.Therefore,this article based on practical problems,satisfying northeast cold border town’s road basic function,analyzing landscape design influenced factors,putting forward some corresponding solutions.(3)This article analyzes good projects in domestic and foreign.Analyzing how to make good road landscape under different size,function,environment.Summarizing common factors which affect road landscape design,combining with northeastern cold border town’s characteristics.From concepts of “safe,environmentally,friendly,comfortable,harmonious”,insisting respecting local conditions,improving designers environmental awareness,trying best to combine road landscape with local regional characteristics,aiming at benefiting natural and economic.(4)Combining theory with practice,taking Changjiang Road and Taishan Road landscape design as example,typical trunk road of northeast cold border town,designing the two road landscape based on useful function,defining them as “urban sight gallery” and “urban traffic trunk road”.Under the coordination tone of internal optimization,creating road landscape with locally character,making optimization urban environment inner,displaying border town characteristics external,promoting local economic development and building town’s card.
