The rapid development of smart cars and advanced driving assistance system urged the continuous breakthrough and improvement of technology;however,market application of any piece of technology has to go through the early test and assessment.The test and assessment towards advanced driving assistance system nowadays mainly focus on the test of real cars on real road conditions.The present study probes into the performance test and assessment method of the advanced driving assistance system which is based on the driving simulator and tries to testify and assess the Adaptive Cruise Control(ACC),Lane Departure Warning System(LDWS)and Forward Collision Warning System(FCWS).Through the research and analysis of ISO and NHTSA criteria,the study made a summary and comparison to the test and assessment conditions and evaluation indicators so as to work out a test and assessment conditions based on the simulators.This method will definitely shorten the vehicle development cycle,lower the cost and reduce the risks.As for the verification of the advanced driving assistance system,the main research contents are as follows.First,the configuration and operating principles of advanced driving assistance system will be studied.A detailed analysis will be given about the Adaptive Cruise Control(ACC),Lane Departure Warning System(LDW)and Forward Collision Warning System(FCW).The present study reviewed the test and assessment method of the advanced driving assistance system and technology at home and abroad.And it also introduced some common test and assessment methods and criteria about the advanced driving assistance system.Systematic analysis has been done about the ISO and NHTSA test and assessment methods.It also made a comparison about the trail conditions and the test items between the two kinks of criteria and developed the test and assessment conditions about the Adaptive Cruise Control(ACC),Lane Departure Warning System(LDWS)and Forward Collision Warning System(FCWS).Thereinto,test conditions of the attachment coefficient of slope and other different roads are added to the Adaptive Cruise Control(ACC).Second,it is about the early preparations of the test and assessment.The software VISSIM is adopted to create a freeway scene which is used in dynamic tests so as to stimulate the road condition.The study used CTS to stimulate real way traffic flows in order to further enhance the credibility of the test and assessment.With the help of the dSPACE network communication model,the study combined CTS environmental vehicles,simulator main car dynamics and ADAS control strategy model to create a test model which is suitable for different ADAS systems.The test model is modularized to ease the tests towards different systems or the same system of different control strategies.At last,experimental test and emulation analysis are done to the Adaptive Cruise Control(ACC),Lane Departure Warning System(LDWS)and Forward Collision Warning System(FCWS).The study analyzed the ISO and NHTSA criteria and the actual demands,by which the test results of evaluation indictor are evaluated.The results not only validated the test and assessment model which is based on the driving simulator and adopts the co-simulation of CTS and dSPACE,but also valuated the performance of different advanced driving assistance systems.
