According to the study on the influence of the development of the whole Waidiaoshan Isle on the surrounding harbor and channel,we can get a better understanding of the flow field and sediment transport trend of the waters around the Waidiaoshan Isle,and further understand the adjustment law of scouring and silting of the underwater shore slope,and provide a certain the reference basis for the optimization and integration of the channel resources and the intensive use of the deep water berth.Based on the data of water depth and terrain in 2004,2007 and 2011,this paper established the digital elevation model of Waidiaoshan Isle waters in these years by using GIS technology,carried out systematically analysis of the coastline change,the characteristic isometric distribution,the change of scouring and silting,and the adjustment of the typical section of the underwater shore slope before the development of Waidiaoshan Isle.At the same time,through establishing the Delft-3D hydrodynamic numerical model to predict the changes of sediment condition and the sediment scouring and silting after being developed,and discussed the dynamic trend of scouring and silting of the underwater slope and the influence on the surrounding harbor and navigation channel before and after the development of Waidiaoshan Isle.The results showed that:(1)Waidiaoshan island is a north-south narrow bedrock island,long-term accept N-S N-S trending tidal current and sediment from the Yangtze River,and continue to sluice under the influence of the reclamation embankment,the recent local coastal shoreline in the some place of the pier has changed,the overall position remained stable.(2)Before development,Waidiaoshan Isle's characteristic isometric distribution of 0m showed a trend of developing towards the sea,the tidal flat area increased from 0.40km2 in 2004 to 0.42km2 in 2011;the 20 m and 50 m located on both sides of Waidiaoshan Isle,mainly moved back toward the shore,the coastal section Waidiaoshan Isle on the whole forming a basic pattern of ‘deposition in the upper scouring in the down'.(3)After development,the flow velocity of wharf is increased by 10% ~ 20%,because of the blocking effect of pier group piles,along the wharf was obviously deposited,the rate was about 0.40 ~ 0.90m/a,the quay channel basically in the equilibrium state of scouring and deposition,had little effect on the surrounding harbor and channel.
