Our country started a huge infrastructure in recent years,and it has provided impetus to China's infrastructure construction.With the further expansion of economy globalization,construction industry is facing enormous opportunities and challenges.People propose higher demand to building structure.The truss structure has the advantage of simple construction,convenient transportation,easy disassembled,good whole stability,high stiffness,strong earthquake resistance.Therefore,truss structure is widely used in various engineering fields.It has a practical significance to research on optimization design of truss structure.Generally speaking,traditional optimum design methods for building structure are adopting a model from experience-based judgment to re-presume.Because of its inefficiency and excess time consumption,it has not satisfied the requirements of the complex structures optimization.Though researching and simulating animals' behavior,and based on the computer programming software,people have developed a new optimization algorithm,swarm intelligence optimization algorithm.This arithmetic has been widely implemented in various fields due to its superiority,such as mechanical design,building design,power system.In view of deficiencies existing in Multi-objective Quick Group Search Optimizer,this article introduces a new algorithm,Improved Multi-objective Quick Group Search Optimization.And for the first time,we try to use it to the several trusses structure optimization.Compared with the original algorithm,there are three improvements : First of all,based on Multi-objective Quick Search Optimization,the chaos theory was applied to improve the algorithm in order to cope with the problems such as high-randomness and low-search speed.Secondly,in order to ensure the accuracy of search direction and make the best of non-feasible solution,the Improved Multi-objective Quick Search Optimizer introduces the concept of semi-feasible region.Thirdly,in order to strictly control the percentage of good individual,the Improved Multi-objective Quick Search Optimizer introduces the concept of ratio threshold.This paper presents the first application of the Improved Multi-objective Quick Search Optimizer,including three truss examples of continuous variable and two truss examples of discrete variable.The computed result shows that the Improved Multi-objective Quick Search Optimizer has faster convergence rate,higher convergence precision,more uniform Pareto Front.Therefore,the new optimization algorithm,foe it remarkable optimization,can be widely used in the optimization design of truss structures.
