With the rapid development of the automobile industry,the industry competition pressure is also growing,people have more requirements of the comfort with vehicle,so the car company pay more attention to the performance of car suspension.The suspension system as an important part of the chassis,it not only have a significant impact to the chassis calibration,but also is essential for the vehicle,so the modern car manufacturers is also more and more pay attention to the suspension adjustment.Therefore,this paper select the front double wishbone independent suspension with the torsion bar spring of a large passenger car as the object of study,and optimized the parameters of the suspension,and get the best parameters,which make the suspension work well.The paper introduce the ADAMS software and the theory of multi-body dynamics,and sums up the general method of solving the kinetic equation and the solving steps of the kinetic equation,which provides the theoretical basis for the later modeling and simulation.Through the UG model,the coordinates of the hard points and other parameters of the suspension parameters are obtained,then it simplified the physical model of the suspension system and do the DOF analysis.The double wishbone independent suspension with torsion bar spring is finally established in the ADAMS/Car,it select toe-in,wheel camber angle,kingpin caster angle,kingpin inclination angle as the research object,then do the simulation and outputs the simulation curve of the suspension positioning parameters.Through the theoretical analysis and compute,the positioning parameters of non-compliance with the requirements is obtained.Through the ADAMS/Insight module,the paper analyze the sensitivity relationship between the selected hard-point and the different positioning parameters of the suspension system,and output the sensitivity relation diagram.Then it choice the hard-point of the larger sensitivity as the design variables and the positioning parameter as the objective function,do the simulation and get the new hard-point coordinates,and update the data for the corresponding hard-points of the simulation model and run wheel jump simulation experiment once again,output the contrast curve of the optimization parameters before and after the optimization,get the result of optimization.At last,the paper optimized the size of the torsion bar spring.Through the theoretical calculation,the optimal size of the suspension is obtained,then establish the model in the finite element analysis software and do the simulation analysis,verify the result through the finite element analysis at the maximum torsional stress.Through the optimization analysis of the hard-point parameters of the suspension,the optimal suspension parameter coordinates are obtained,and improve the efficiency,save the cost,and also provide some reference for other kinds of suspension or mechanical system simulation analysis.
