To further improve construction efficiency,in the precast shear wall structural system, the filler wall and the window wall are always reserved in the shear wall while pouring concrete in the factory. In this case,to reduce structural weight and decrease the strength and stiffness of the filler wall and the window wall, the light material, such as the foam plastic slab,is reserved in the filler wall and the window wall. However, this method above should be verified. To investigate the influence of the filler wall and the window wall on the seismic performance of precast shear wall structure,pseudo-static tests of one one-story precast shear wall with filler wall and two two-story precast shear walls with different window wall heights were conducted. The experimental results indicate that the structural mechanical principle is changed when the window wall and shear wall are regard as a whole. As to the two-story precast shear walls, that window wall can work together with the coupling beam below the window wall as an entirety at the preliminary stage. Then,a dual coupling beams mechanism is observed when the abovementioned two components separate. The failure modes of these two test specimens are both the crush of the concrete at the plastic hinges formed at the bottom of walls and two ends of the dual coupling beams. The load bearing capacity and initial stiffness of the specimen with a larger height of window wall(i.e.W-2)are larger than those of W-1.In contrast, the ductility and energy dissipation capacity of W-2 are smaller than those of W-1.The window walls can significantly improve the stiffness, load bearing capacity and energy dissipation capacity of this precast structure.Hence, window walls are required to be considered in the seismic design of precast shear wall structure.Based on the test, numerical simulation of the specimens W-1 and W-2 was conducted by ABAQUS.The results indicate that the finite element models could predict the mechanical behavior and damage pattern of the specimens well.
