In recent years,with the rapid development of the national economy,inland waterway shipping has been developed rapidly due to its high volume,low cost and low energy consumption.The lack of historical hydrological data caused a lot of difficulties for waterway regulation parameter caculation on the waterway regulation engineering of the Yellow River upper reaches.And the determination of regulation parameters directly related to the regulation effect of waterway regulation engineering.The determination of the waterway regulation parameter of the Yellow River upper reaches restricts the development of the water transportation industry in the region.The natural waterway of upstream of the Yellow River in Zhongwei of Ningxia province is an important traffic line of Ningxia province since ancient times.In recent years,with the development of road transportation,the water transportation gradually decline.This paper read the experience of the determination of waterway regulation and numerical simulation at home and abroad for reference,collected the hydrology,topography and climate of the Zhongwei section of the Yellow River.The study based on the upper part of the Yellow River(part of Shapotou Water Control Project to Baima township).This paper overcame the problem of shortage of information in the river section and calculated the waterway regulation parameter,established a two-dimensional flow mathematical model to study the effect of waterway regulation on channel improvement.The main research results can be summarized in the following sections:(1)Based on the historical hydrological information collection and the measured data,this paper used the synthetic duration curve method which has been widely used both at home and abroad to analysis design level.On the basis of statistics of water level and flow rate corresponding to different guarantee rate,determined the design level and the design flow of the river section.(2)Used bed-building discharge method,multi-year average flow method and other methods to calculate and analyze the regulation discharge and the regulation water level based on the experience of waterway regulation of Yellow River.(3)We considered the characteristics of the river and the rapids situation,using a variety of formula calculated the width of the regulation line on different situation.(4)The two-dimensional flow mathematical model has been established to calculate the river flow conditions.According to computational results of mathematical models,it shows that the river's water depth,slope,and water flow condition are good after the construction of waterway regulation,the channel stability is good.The waterway regulation program is basically feasible.
