Modeling And Simulating Of The Compressed Air System On Board

It has been developing rapidly of the society and technology,the varieties of industries develop rapidly,the vessel and shipping industries are not exceptions.Although in recent years the vessel manufacturing and shipping industries have been affected by overcapacity,it has not stopped the whole industries turning into professionalization,automation,intelligentize,enlargement and new type.At the same time,with the prompt development of vessel technology,the systems require more than they were used to be.Compressed air system as the important auxiliary system on board plays a significant role for the ship starting and running.Therefor in the actual research and application,it has much reference value for building the model and simulating of the compressed air system with help of computer technology.The study subject is based on the compressed air system of "Atlantic" vessel which is over 10 thousand TEU.Aiming for constructing the simulation model and calculating the results.With the help of Matlab-Simulink mathematics simulation tool and the visualized block module,and the mathematics expression models are originated from the separate parts working procedures of the whole system running properly.First,this paper demonstrates the relevant technologies and current study progress,at the same time it illustrates the significance of building the compressed air system model and simulation.It describes every component of the system and pay attention to demonstrate the function and working principles,then building the mathematics model of each part of the system.Finally,put the constructed theory mathematics models in the Simulink and convert them into simulation model.Confirming the models are relatively correct and computing the results of the simulation models.Then simulating the air reservoir suppling compressed air for the appliance on board,including the compressed air for main engine starting,whistle blowing and submarine gate.
