With the continuous development of China's social economy and improvement of people's living standards,the demand for high quality electric energy gets more and more strong.In recent years,with the fast development of power industry,the distribution network becomes the key link between power system and users,and whose dynamic reactive power optimization is very necessary for the safe operation of power system and the power supply to customers.This paper analyzes the mechanism of dynamic reactive power compensat ion and points out the significance of dynamic reactive power compensation in distribution network;then introduces several common reactive compensation devices in detail,which are synchronous condensers,static capacitor,SVC and SVG/STATCOM.The paper compares the advantages and disadvantages of different devices connecting to distribution network,and analyzes the common reactive power compensation methods.After that the mathematical model of dynamic reactive power optimization based on the adjusting cost is established,the objective function is set up,and the switching of capacitor group at each time period is obtained via the the particle swarm optimization algorithm.In addition,the improved IEEE33 distribution network system is built for the large-scale access of the distributed power supply and LCPI voltage stability index is proposed.Based on the mathematical model mentioned,the objective function is established,and the switching of capacitor group and the power output of the distributed generation at each time period are obtained by using particle swarm optimization algorithm.At the same time,the voltage stability of the system is improved after reactive power optimization.Finally,the GUI module of MATLAB is used to write the dynamic reactive power optimization software based on particle swarm optimization algorithm.
