As an important indicator of power quality, voltage quality not only relates to the pros and cons of the power the power system provides users with, but also directly affects the security and economy of the power grid operation. Power system stability has a direct relationship with the reasonable of reactive power distribution. Optimizing the allocation and scheduling reactive power not only maintains voltage levels and improves the stability of power system operation, and also reduces network losses providing the transmission for active power to free passage, so that the power system can be safe, economical, stable operation.Firstly, the background and significance of reactive power optimization are described in this paper, and reactive power optimization algorithm in domestic and foreign were compared and indicating their advantages and disadvantages, and the existing problems of reactive power optimization study are further noted.Secondly, a reactive power optimization algorithm combining quantum particle swarm optimization and simulated annealing optimization algorithm are proposed according to the fast convergence of quantum particle swarm and escape from local optimum characteristics of simulated annealing algorithm, through two alternating iterative algorithm and comparing the objective function to determine the quality of the solution. Taking IEEE14 nodes as optimization simulation model to comparison, optimized net loss with respect to before optimization improves 9.7%, the less operation time determines the online scene analysis, demonstrating the algorithm the article proposed is applicable, effective and robust.Then, take Xingyi grid as the background, Xingyi grid voltage and Reactive Power status are at length analysed from the grid including grid structure, power, load and operation mode and economic indicators combining voltage qualification rate and line loss rate, further locating the main problem.Finally, the thought of voltage stability is introduced into the objective function is proposed, he ideological component, optimize the active power loss and voltage stability components with coordination, rather than merely positioning minimizing losses and ignoring the voltage stability. The proposed algorithm is applied to Xingyi grid, carrying out research and exploration of its reactive power and voltage issue comes to a reasonable reactive power optimization program, further, the optimizat ion result verifies the applicability and validity of the algorithm mentioned herein.Systematic and in-depth research work carried out in this paper is applies to the similar operating characteristics of the regional power grid to Xingyi grid, which has great theoretical instruction significance and promotional value. The proposed reactive power optimization algorithm starts a new way for scientifically choosing reactive power optimization program.
