| Recent years,earthquake often happens all around the world,which is always along with heavy casualties and properties loss.Countries focus on the research on the engineering seismology more and more.Especially,the requirements of anti-seismic are gradually written in the mandatory terms of buildings in China.As a result,the technologies of energy dissipation and vibration reduction are developing rapidly,meantime,more technologies of energy dissipation and vibration for architectural structure are available due to the application of buckling-restrained braces(BRBS).BRBS can not only guarantee the lateral stiffness of the architectural structure,but also dissipate the seismic energy when the earthquake happens.The performance of traditional bracing system may be not enough to service,in this case,the frame structure system equipped with BRBS can provide a more reliable aseismic capacity.So far,most of the BRBS technologies have been patented.Applications aiming at BRBS are mostly center on the research of steel with low yield point and higher elongation as the key stress units.The structures of these units are complicated and variable.To some extend,it is a disadvantage for the extension and development of the BRBS technologies.The basic concept of BRBS is firstly introduced in this paper,as well as the theory and constitution.Secondly,the design of the BRBS is theoretically analyzed,corresponding theoretical formula has been considered in the analysis of the stabilities of the supports,key stress units and the BRBS.Thirdly,axial circular back-and-forth tensile and compression tests are performed on the fabricated all-steel BRBS,the BRBS take the Q235 steel as the key stress units and constrain units.Result shows that this kind of BRBS is well performed on the property of energy dissipation.Lastly,suggestions on the questions occurred during the test of the BRBS are discussedMoreover,A type of concrete frame structure with the BRBS of Q235 steel key stress units has been designed,its anti-seismic properties have been analyzed trough a finite element software called SAP2000.It reveals that when the original concrete structure cannot meet the requirements of the limitation value of the standard,the addition of the BRBS can make the interlayer displacement angle,etc.fulfill the standard requirements,and may be somewhat above the value of the standard. |
