As energy demand increases and the demand varies,EV combustor,as a kind of combustor with low pollutant emission,has been paid more and more attention and put into application.However,because of the technical difficulty,patent protection and many other reasons,there are few researchers about the EV burner in China at present.Based on the design principle of EV combustor,in this paper,a conical combustor was designed to study about the size characteristics and combustion performance of this kind of combustor.According to the size and structure of the designed combustor,the numerical model is built by using CFD software,and the performance of the conical combustor is simulated.The axial velocity distribution of the internal flow field,the mass fraction distribution of combustion products,combustion efficiency and outlet temperature field distribution were analyzed to study the effect of the existence of head gas nozzle,gas flow of head gas nozzle and excess air coefficient on combustion performance and pollutant formation of the combustor.The simulation results show that the flow field of the burner with a head gas nozzle has better symmetry and is more conducive to combustion;in a certain range,the higher flow rates of the head gas nozzle contribute to a better stability of internal flow field;but excessive flow will cause the increase of temperature,which leads to the increase of emissions of pollutants NO_x;In a certain range,with the excess air coefficient increases,the combustion efficiency gets improved,the amount of NO_x decreases,the mixing depth is larger,and the outlet temperature distribution becomes more uniform;Seen from the stability of the internal flow field,when the excess air coefficient set in between 1.5 and 2.2,the combustion stability is better and more conducive to combustion of the designed combustor.In the simulation of conical combustion chamber,the structure simplification,mesh generation and selection of simulation model have some reference significance for the follow-up research work;at the same time,this paper makes a detailed comparison and flow field analysis of the structural details of the head gas nozzle.The research methods used and the specific data obtained provide an important reference for the appropriate structure of conical combustor. |
