Along with the development of high voltage DC power transmission,the converter station has a large number of large power equipment.These devices are influenced largely by the surrounding electromagnetic environment and electromagnetic compatibility,Therefore,wide band characteristic test of large power equipment in the converter station is need to be tested for overvoltage analysis.As the power equipment itself is a huge body,when the impedance analyzer and network analyzer used for testing small equipment are used for testing large power equipment,dozen or even dozens of meters of wire are bound to use,Stray parameters such as inductance,capacitance will influence the test results,so it is necessary to eliminate the influence of the lead through a certain way.In this paper,the test was carried out on a small two port network and small power equipment,and the test results of different methods such as lead parameters calculation and calibration were compared,and also the reasons for influencing the test results are analyzed.The method to test the broadband characteristics of large power equipment is proposed to use the impedance analyzer with lead calibration.As the same time,When testing,cable core of the 50 ohm shielded cable is proposed to use as far as possible to improve the influence of electromagnetic interference on the external space,And the lead wire is arranged as a frame and the basic shape of the frame remains unchanged when calibration and test are maintained.
