In the world,in the future for a long period of time,as an i mportant renewable energy,hydropower has a very huge space for development.Under the guidance of the national strategy,China's hydropower industry has occupied a large number of International Hydropower markets.New problems have been brought about by the special environment of international projects.As one of the core parts of secondary electrical system,the relay protection system has a direct impact on the safety and economic operation of the power station.The research on the new problems of the International Hydropower Station project is of great significance to the relay protection system of the hydropower station.This thesis takes the Lower Stung Russei Hydropower Station in Cambodia as an example,analyzes the setting and debugging process encountered problems in the design of relay protection system for the protection of foreign hydropower station,the results of this thesis included the following:(1)In the local power grid because of the technical level and management level is limited,can not provide protection parameters required for system data,through the calculation of line model parameters of the theoretical value,the measured value of the line,the other power plant protection device has been put into operation parameters and the expected future development report available data for comprehensive analysis,select the reasonable value of protection setting estimated.(2)The problem of the generator protection movement caused by the oscillation of the system,proposed appropriate to reduce the sensitivity of protection,to increase the protection action delay,automatic regulation and duty personnel to withdraw from the governor,in the system oscillation occurs when the excitation,using the manual control,artificial slow speed regulating method.(3)To solve the problem of excitation protection action caused by excessive current on the high voltage side of the excitation transformer,the solution to the correction of the excitation protection is put forward.(4)For the problem of inaccurate calculation of fault location of line protection,a proposal is put forward to select the distance measuring device based on traveling wave range finder.
